Inspired by the elements of Aztec calendar this mandala has a textured base, geometric shapes and bold colours. Coral, turquoise and antique gold colours are all linked with prosperity. In the middle of this mandala is the face of Aztec sun deity. Tonatiuh, is the sun God’s name in Nuhati language literally translated as “to go and make the sun shine”.

  • Acrylic  and modeling paste on 18” Baltic birch with sawtooth hanger.
  • Signed, named and dated on the back.
